General
This site plays host to all of my graphical creations which currently includes reams of livejournal icons, wallpapers and livejournal mood themes. All of my graphics are linkware meaning that they can be used so long as you provide a link back to this site, more information on this and other rules can be found over on the rules page.
Graphics
All graphics were created using Adobe Photoshop 6.0, Adobe ImageReady 3.0, IrfanView and my imagination. Images used in my graphics are all © to their retrospective owners, no copyright infringement is intended and a comprehensive list of the resources I draw on can be found here.
The Site
This site was opened August 29, 2005 and is hosted on my domain www.cha-otical.net. The site is powered by Icon Sort. All HTML coding for this site was written by hand using Notepad. All graphics and original content are © to Emily Hirst 2005-2006.
The Name
The site name 'Shiny' comes from the short lived yet brilliant TV Show 'Firefly' from the mind of directorial genius Joss Whedon. In the Firefly Verse 'Shiny' basically means good, great, cool - substitute any positive adjective you like here. I love the word, it just lends itself to 'ooh, shiny' so hence I ended up with a site called 'Shiny'.
